26 Sep Wowed at the Wild Atlantic Way Conference!
What a conference, what a day and what an excellent sense of community amongst the 200+ crowd that attended the Wild Atlantic Way (WAW) event in the beautiful surrounds of Lough Eske Castle, Donegal this week.
For those of you who were unable to attend the Wild Atlantic Way Conference organised by Donegal County Council & Fáilte Ireland here is a brief summary of the day’s events. The all-day conference had an excellent range of presentations from thought leaders in the area of digital marketing with workshops that showed how local businesses are connecting and creating unique customer experiences.
CSEI was delighted to have been invited to join the panel of expert speakers from Wolfgang Digital, Google, Facebook and others in the digital sector. The theme of the conference was connecting the Wild Atlantic Way and creating a lasting experience for the customer.
The message from Fáilte Ireland outlined how tourism and service providers along the WAW can come together to form activity clusters to provide an enhanced customer experience. They were extremely positive about the prospect of further government funding and support for the project which aims to be amongst the “Top 10 Tourism Activities Globally” and one which aim to be on everyone’s bucket list. They also want to share their fantastic collection of images, video and content with those involved in promoting tourism activities and services.

Mother Nature has given us the marvellous resource that is the Wild Atlantic Way – this is the tourism product. However, it will be the warmth and friendliness of the people and the quality of customer service that will be the game clincher. If we can achieve and sustain an excellence in customer service delivery tourists will become raving fans about the WAW – and more will come.
