Apprenticeships
Variety is the spice of life and education.
For me of late, Saturday mornings have been put aside for adjudicating and marking.
Last Saturday I spent the morning going through the applications in the World Series Customer Centricity Awards and the Global greats involved. This morning I was marking the assignments for the Sales Apprenticeship participants in Ireland. ….and all were of equal importance to the World Series Awards.
There are often common threads which run through excellence. Often its simplicity.
This morning I was correcting a paper for the Apprenticeship which involved the importance of non-cognitive skills in sales , ( social skills, soft skills, essential skills, power skills)….or whatever we choose to call them.
Earlier this week I had a great call with Loralyn Mears, PhD founder of Steerus the world’s first soft skills academy and my friend and thought leader Simon Haigh, regarding soft skills.
Why are these happenings related. What did the World Series Leader say – “We need to Go Big on the small things. What are the small things – Soft Skills”
Interesting. Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
